With a wordless picture book, one naturally expects the illustrations to be captivating—but Zoom goes beyond that. It doesn’t just impress; it astounds. The sheer sophistication of its frames leaves you both stupefied and mesmerized. While there isn’t a conventional storyline, this book is a masterclass in visual storytelling, where each page zooms out to reveal surprising new details—some ordinary, some startling, and some delightfully bizarre.
The magic of Zoom lies in its ability to keep you on edge, eagerly anticipating what will unfold next. The suspense is gripping, the visual reveals are enthralling, and while we might have wished for a more defined plot, the sheer wonder of the experience keeps you hooked from start to finish. This is a fantastic introduction to perspective.
The absolute win was when we kept turning back to see where it all started!
A fantastic book for children aged 4+, though the artistic depth and subtle intricacies may resonate even more with readers aged 6 and up.
