Narwhal and Jelly Series

Imagine this- you’re ready to graduate from picture books to longer format reads. You haven’t quite built your reading stamina yet and might even feel a little intimidated by the size of chapter books. Plus, you still really love illustrations and pictures! So what do you read then? Well, welcome to the Narwhal and Jelly series.

Cute as cute can get, this series is an easy read for early readers- and dare I say, older readers too—because this lovable duo really light up the water world. Narwhal is the quintessential happy-go-lucky guy, always up for a good time and spreading cheer. Jelly, on the other hand, likes things a certain way (read: prim and proper). Together, they navigate difficulties, heartbreaks, friendships, holidays, and more- with the kind of light only good friends can bring.

We love this series for its humor, its easy reading style, the fun fact pages, and of course, the gags. And let’s not forget- each story holds a well-placed message too (not something you go looking for, but it’s there- and it’s a bonus!).
